CampsAbroad exists as a missions arm of The Wilds to help local churches worldwide develop camping programs that glorify God, build up believers, and reach teens for Christ. Since 2001 our teams have served more than 125 groups in over 70 countries, providing training in biblical philosophy of counseling, supplemented by strong, culturally appropriate methodology.
Our teams have partnered with leadership groups on nearly every continent. From Zambia to Australia, to Botswana and beyond, we’ve helped equip dozens of ministries to better reach local youth with the life-giving Word of God. Explore a few of our latest trips and dive deeper into past work, or see the doors God is opening ahead to get the full scope of CampsAbroad’s global impact.
For over 25 years, we’ve helped national leaders lay the foundation for thriving camping ministries. Hear firsthand how God is using CampsAbroad to encourage, equip, and ignite hearts around the world.
We are truly overwhelmed at how God blessed the camp itself. But the aftermath of enthusiastic feedback from our young people is off the charts. They have a WhatsApp group and are continually posting comments about how the camp has resulted in a renewed fervor in their commitment to Christ and spiritual maturity.

One camper was coming from Muslim background and it was his first time attending a Christian camp. Our God worked in his heart during the camp and at the last evening he opened his heart to the Lord as his Lord and Savior. That encourages us to pursue camps even though it is getting harder to conduct camps due to resources and authority difficulties. It is God who prepares these little hearts for Him. We just want to be a channel for them to have closer relationships with God.

Many of the campers have ended up joining Bible college for further training. Hence being more productive for the Kingdom of Christ. To God be the Glory.

I had done studies on contentment before, but I really saw this week how I can be content in any and all circumstances—and even have joy. One time, the uncontacted tribe was invading our village, and many people were fleeing. My dad said we needed to stay in order to be a witness, since no one else in our village is really a Christian. I was scared, but this camp helped me overcome my fear and see my security in Christ.

I came to summer camp ready to release my anger and planned to make a fight with everyone, but God softened my heart and I received so much love instead.

This camp opened my eyes to so many things, and I need to learn to love others more than myself because of Jesus.

Camp changed my philosophy of approaching the youth with the Word of God. It helps me to understand the power of being with them for the whole camp as their counselor, listening and helping them to understand the Word and apply it in their day to day life.

That camp was the single most impactful thing I have seen among the youth there.

The idea of building bridges has helped us in our counseling. I saw campers open up throughout the week. Many began coming to us to talk about deep struggles and important topics. This concept will be helpful not just for our teens at camp, but also in our churches.
