After enjoying some of God’s creation in Kenya, the team jumped into the week of camp. At least seven local churches took part in camp this year. It is encouraging to know that these teens can return to solid Bible churches to continue in the things they have learned.

The majority of the 20 counselors returned from last year. They were responsive to the training sessions and excited about the camp philosophy. In the end, only 8 counselors were needed to counsel for the week, but most of the others stayed to serve in other ways during the week of camp.

We were excited to see a significant increase in the number of campers from last year – attendance almost doubled as word has spread through the churches. The teens studied the book of Daniel throughout the week. The majority of Kenyan students attend national boarding schools thee months at a time with only a month home during their breaks. These teens identified with Daniel as they made a commitment to take a stand for Christ and do right while they are away from home. The week ended with six professions of faith as well as many other important decisions for Christ.

To God be the glory. Great things He has done!
